He shared very interesting information on his Facebook page Robert Horvat, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He said that the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy today recommended including on the agenda the session of the Verkhovna Rada and adopting bills as a basis No. 3476 and No. 3477.
The adoption of these bills should radically change the tax and customs policies in the production and import of electric vehicles. This, in turn, will allow attracting international investors to the country and start producing electric cars of well-known brands with us, as well as restarting the domestic automotive industry. At the same time, imported electric vehicles will remain affordable for Ukrainians, thanks to appropriate tax incentives.
According to Horvat, the Transcarpathian Eurocar plant is already working to ensure that Volkswagen can assemble electric cars at the plant. And the aforementioned bills should provide the necessary foundation for cooperation between companies.
Let me remind you that the Eurocar plant is the official manufacturer of Volkswagen Group cars in Ukraine. Since 2001, more than three dozen different car models have been produced (or continue to be produced), including the Audi A6, Seat Leon, Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb. In recent years, the factory assembled exclusively cars of the Skoda brand.
