One of the most anticipated electric cars of 2020 will officially go on sale in the near future. Volkswagen has already begun processing orders for ID.3 from customers who pre-ordered the First Edition version.
“In accordance with local law, all ID.3 models that can be ordered from July 20 are eligible for subsidies in Germany and other European countries. In Germany, customers can apply for the maximum environmental bonus for electric vehicles for a total of 9480 euros; 3480 euros of this amount will be covered by Volkswagen as a manufacturer, ”the company said in an official statement. Let me remind you that the cost of the basic version of ID.3 starts at 30,000 euros.
Jürgen Stackmann, Volkswagen Board Member for Sales, said: “We are impressed by the loyalty shown by our customers with so many pre-orders. Most of these customers have already ordered First Edition from dealers. The remaining customers who were waiting for the start of sales will be able to choose one of seven ID.3 configurations from July 20 ”.
Last month, Volkswagen already delivered the first 150 ID.3 electric cars to its employees for testing cars before the start of sales. However, customers who place an order for ID.3 First Edition will not receive their electric cars until September. Volkswagen is currently ramping up production so that about 30,000 ID.3 electric cars immediately arrive on European markets.
In addition, do not forget that Volkswagen was faced with software problems during the production of ID.3. Because of this, some functions will immediately be inaccessible to owners of electric cars. So an additional one and a half to two months can be very useful for fixing bugs in software.
