Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many gaming conferences have been canceled this year. Therefore, companies such as Ubisoft had to organize their own events. Last night, an event called Ubisoft Forward took place, where we were told details about new projects: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, Far Cry 6, Hyper Scape and others. Let's go over the most interesting announcements.
Far cry 6
The cinematic trailer of the new part of Far Cry opens the curtain of the plot of the game. Gamers will find themselves on the island of Yare, where President Anton Castillo rules. The latter is played by Giancarlo Esposito, known for his role as Guus Fring in the TV series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
The main character of Far Cry 6 will be Dani Roja, who (or who, after all, players can choose the gender of the character) will oppose the Castillo regime. The protagonist will have access to many types of weapons, in addition, he will be able to hire allies to carry out his goals.
The release of Far Cry 6 will take place on February 18, 2021 on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
The next part of the Assassin’s Creed franchise was announced back in April this year. Now Ubisoft has published a gameplay video in which it demonstrated various game mechanics.
Gamers will play for Eivor – a Viking from Norway, who leads his army to the British Isles. Players will not only have to scout territories, simultaneously cracking down on enemies, but also to establish their own settlements. The main character can be equipped with various weapons, including a hidden blade, killing with one blow. The open world of Valhalla will delight you with beautiful landscapes, but it also contains many secrets and quests.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available on November 17, 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. Also, the game will be released on the console of a new generation.
The Hyper Scape trailer takes us 30 years ahead, telling us that the battle royale genre will still be popular in the future. However, with its own nuances. But what’s most interesting for us is the start of the Hyper Scape open beta. So if you want to try out the new battle royal by Ubisoft, go over the link.
By the way, the technical test of the game started on July 2, and some YouTube and Twitch streamers were able to demonstrate the game to the audience. Hyper Scape rose pretty quickly on the Twitch charts, so we can assume that Ubisoft turned out to be a very high-quality online shooter.
Watch Dogs: Legion
In the third part of Watch Dogs, we will find ourselves in the London of the future, in which anarchy reigns. An important part of the game will be NPC characters that players can recruit into their army of hackers. You can hire a builder who is well-controlled with an adjustable wrench, a spy who performs tasks more elegantly, an expert on drones, or even a soccer bully. In total, about forty NPC characters will be available, with which it will be possible to complete missions. Well, you have to fight against the Albion corporation, which decides matters in the city by its own means.
The release of Watch Dogs: Legion is scheduled for October 29, 2020. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Google Stadia, and also eventually on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Ghost recon breakpoint
In the Ghost Recon Breakpoint shooter, AI allies return. They will be available at any time after the player first gets to Ereuon. Companions can be activated and released when you need, and they can also be customized. AI partners will appear in the game from July 15. And from July 16 to July 29 gamers will be available online mode Resistance.
The Crew 2: Summer in Hollywood
Beginning July 8, The Crew 2 players now have access to the sixth expansion called Summer in Hollywood. Legendary cars and motorbikes have appeared in the game, such as DeLorean and Kawasaki Ninja H2, new events and special items.
Mobile games Brawhalla and Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad
And finally, a couple of mobile titles from Ubisoft. Fighting Brawhalla will be released on Android and iOS on August 6 (available pre-registration), but the release date of the shooter Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad has not yet been specified, but pre-registration for Android and iOS.
By the way, in honor of the event, Ubisoft arranged a sale of games in its the store. You can pre-order Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion, as well as purchase other company titles at a discount.
Update: Ubisoft also offers free pick up Watch Dogs 2 and a few more gifts (keys for chests in Division 2, items for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion). In fact, the distribution of bonuses was supposed to take place during yesterday's presentation, but due to a malfunction, the company decided to please the fans after the fact. So go on the link and pick up the gifts. But keep in mind that the game will not appear in your Uplay library right away, but after a while.
