Wi-Fi 6-enabled routers are becoming more affordable, thanks in large part to Xiaomi, which regularly introduces new device models. Another router will enter the market under the Redmi brand.
The appearance of the Redmi AX5 is not particularly noticeable – a regular rectangular case made of white plastic with four external antennas with a power of 5 dB each. Inside, a Qualcomm processor with a separate NPU module is installed. The router is capable of simultaneously serving up to 128 connected devices. The creation of Mesh systems is supported, as well as MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies.
According to Xiaomi, the maximum data transfer speed of the router is 1775 Mbps. The router operates in two bands – 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. A gigabit WAN port and three gigabit LAN ports are available on the rear panel. The cost of Redmi AX5 is $ 35.
