Electric car sales start in mid-summer.

Automakers cannot sell their electric cars unless they have showrooms where new products can be demonstrated. For example, Tesla has “Galleries” for marketing purposes, Polestar has “Spaces”, and Byton has “Places”. Volkswagen recently opened the ID Store, which is located in Dresden.

The launch of the ID Store is an indication that Volkswagen has taken seriously the promotion of its ID.3 electric car. The start of sales of new items is scheduled for June 17 – starting from this date, pre-ordered users will be able to fully complete the purchase. By the way, it is reported that there are already more than 30,000 who want to buy an electric car. They had to make a deposit of € 1000 to leave a request.

The first ID Store is located at Volkswagen Glass Manufactory in Dresden. The company began to use its own factory as an exhibition venue back in 2002. There, Volkswagen began to produce electric versions of the Golf.

The next ID Store will be launched in July at a plant in Munich. There are also plans to open a store in Zwickau. In the showrooms, visitors will be able to find out various information about Volkswagen electric cars, as well as conduct an ID.3 test drive (after the official release of the electric car).
