The event will be held online.
Apple in March reported that due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s WWDC Developer Conference will be held online. Now the company from Cupertino has clarified the date of the online event – it will be held on June 22. You can see the presentation in Apple Developer or at Apple Developer site.
“This year, the WWDC conference will not only be held in a unique format, but will become the largest in its history: our community of developers from around the world, more than 23 million people, will come together for one week in June to learn about the future of Apple platforms,” said Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of global marketing. “We look forward to meeting the developers online and showcasing our new technologies that will help them create even more amazing applications and services.” As we approach WWDC20, we will be reporting new details about this wonderful event. ”
Participation in WWDC 2020 will be free for all developers. Apple also plans to host the Swift Student Challenge, in which student developers will be able to demonstrate their programming skills by creating their own mini-application in Swift.
