But BMW models are still not in the list of compatible ones.
Google has added more than 70 new car models to the list of compatible with the Android Auto system. In particular, owners of Lexus ES, NX, RC, RX and UX of production starting in October 2019, Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX50 and QX80 2020 model year, as well as Ferrari GTC4Lusso, GTC4Lusso T and Portofino will be able to use it. The full list is available at this link.
Despite a solid replenishment, some automakers are still delaying the addition of support for Android Auto. For example, BMW promised last year that it will add support for the system from Google in its cars (for models 2019 and 2020 model year), but will have to wait at least until July.
Nevertheless, if you look at the whole, then most manufacturers have made compatible their cars with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. And this allows drivers to take advantage of the systems, for example, the ability to display Google Maps on the central display for easier navigation, instead of the standard application.
