Xiaomi has raised enough money to launch the Smart Cat Eye M1 smart doorbell.
Fundraising for the launch of Smart Cat Eye M1 on the Youpin crowdfunding platform started earlier this year. During this time, the collection target was fulfilled by 667%, although there were still a week and a half left before the end of the campaign. In this regard, Xiaomi announced that the supply of Smart Cat Eye M1 should begin on January 16, 2020 at a price of ~ $ 52.
The device consists of two parts. The external part is equipped with a speaker and a camera with a viewing angle of 161 degrees and a resolution of 1080p, so it covers almost the entire stairwell. There is a night mode, and there is also a special algorithm that eliminates the effect of the “fish eye” picture. Plus, a bell button is located under the camera.
The second part is a 5 ″ display, which is mounted inside the apartment. For its operation, no power cable is needed – the device is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, this should be enough for 2-7 months of operation. Smart Cat Eye M1 is compatible with the Mijia / Mi Home smart home system, so users can watch video from the camera on their smartphone. There is also a microSD card slot for storing recorded videos.
In addition, the doorbell is able to perform round-the-clock video surveillance, recognize the faces of users and change your voice when you ask a stranger who he is and why he came.
