The new electric car has already begun to be mass-produced, but so far there are problems with its software.
German resource Manager magazine reports that Volkswagen has certain problems with the software that is installed on its ID.3 electric car. According to the source, about 20,000 cars will be assembled with raw software, which will require later manual updates.
The reason for the software problems is not disclosed, it is only clarified that it is "massive". Thousands of ID.3 models will be stored in specially designated hangars until spring, until experts begin to upgrade the software.
The second wave of production of ID.3 is scheduled for May 2020 and by then the first batches should receive a fixed update. Subsequently, cars can be updated by air.
