Interpreter Mode allows you to easily communicate with people speaking different languages.

Google announced a translator mode at CES 2019 earlier this year. In February, it became available to owners of Google Home speakers and smart displays with Google Assistant. Now, users can use it on smartphones.

To activate the translator mode, just say “Hey Google, be my Italian translator” or “Hey Google, help me speak French”. After that, on the screen you will see and hear the translation of your phrase. In addition, Assistant can offer quick answers (Smart Replies) so you can speed up the process of communication.

Translator mode on smartphones supports 44 languages, including Ukrainian and Russian. The full list is available at this link.
