Roberto Escobar, the brother of the same Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, decided to bring rustle in the smartphone market and presented the bendable device Escobar Fold 1.
The novelty is a rather bendable tablet – the size of the AMOLED display is 7.8 ″ (resolution 1920×1444 pixels, aspect ratio 4: 3). The device can be bent in half by the screen outward, in which case approximately half of the display remains active. The screen is made of special plastic and users are promised that it will be difficult to break.
The appearance of the Escobar Fold 1 is very similar to the Royole Technology FlexPai device. Actually, apparently, this is the same device, just under a different nameplate.
As for technical specifications, the smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 chipset, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 512 GB of internal memory (+ microSD card slot), a dual camera (16 MP + 20 MP), and a 4000 mAh battery. The gadget is running Android 9 Pie.
The most interesting thing is that the cost of Escobar Fold 1 is only $ 349 (The more expensive 8/512 GB version will cost $ 499). This is the idea of Roberto Escobar himself. He wants to surpass Apple, so he will sell smartphones directly to customers, bypassing operators and retail chains. By the way, a lawsuit is even being prepared against Apple. Escobar longs for justice, in his opinion Apple inflates the prices of its devices and should return part of its illegal profits to people. The Colombian said he spent nearly $ 1 million on lawyers alone to prepare a lawsuit.
