Stream viewers can support their favorite bloggers in this way.

YouTube continues to work on new content monetization options for channel owners. Now YouTube bloggers can earn extra income through paid subscriptions and superchat (paid comments that are fixed in the chat). Now there are superstickers.

This functionality has been tested since July of this year and only a few months later became available to content creators in 60 countries. When a YouTube channel is streaming or premieres, viewers can express their support by buying a sticker and posting it to the chat. Streamers, in turn, receive a notification that someone has purchased a sticker.

Channel authors can moderate superstickers. Initially, eight sets of stickers are available, five of which are animated. Kits include a short description that suggests the context in which stickers can be used. YouTube will offer kits in different languages. So far available in English, French, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese.

To add the functionality of superstickers, the channels must meet the same requirements as for the superchat: monetization must be configured on the channel, the channel has more than 1000 subscribers, the author of the channel is 18 years old or more, superstickers are available in the author’s region. It is reported that already more than 100,000 channels, which are available superchats, can connect superstikers.
