We buy helmets of virtual reality, in March 2020 the release of the new part of Half-Life will take place.

Valve, as promised, today officially unveiled a new part of the cult game Half-Life. This, of course, is not the long-awaited Half-Life 3 (which is not the fact that we will wait at all), but already something. To play it, you need a VR helmet (Valve Index, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality and the like are suitable) and a computer that meets the minimum requirements of the game (Core i5-7500 / Ryzen 5 1600, 12 GB operational memory, GTX 1060 / RX 580 – 6GB VRAM).

Half-Life: Alyx is a VR-exclusive that will talk about the events that occurred between the first and second part of the original game. Gamers will play for Alix Vance, the daughter of a former colleague of Gordon Freeman, Eli Vance. It is the only chance for the salvation of mankind in the light of the Alliance's occupation of the Earth. One of the main elements of your equipment will be “gravity gloves” that allow you to perform various actions.

Valve notes that Half-Life: Alyx is not an episodic story, it is a new full-fledged part on the Half-Life universe. The duration of the game is comparable to Half-Life 2. By the way, despite the fact that the events of the game take place before the second part, the company still recommends that Half-Life 2 be re-run first. Well, if gamers positively accept Half-Life: Alyx, it’s quite possible Valve will continue to work on the games in this series. Who knows, maybe someday the release day of Half-Life 3 will finally come.

You can already issue it on Steam pre-order Half-Life: Alyx for $ 53.99 (now the promotion is in force, the usual price is $ 59.99). Owners of the Valve Index will receive the game for free.
