Apple's top-end smartphone has finally reached the DxOMark specialists. But as a result of tests, he was awarded only third place in the overall ranking.
The test used the iPhone Pro Max with iOS 13.2 installed, so Deep Fusion technology should have worked in the camera. DxOMark experts praised the iPhone for its wide dynamic range and accurate exposure selection in most situations, good detail in various conditions, fast autofocus and impressive video stabilization. The amount of visible noise in the images has decreased markedly compared to photos taken on the iPhone XS.
Among the shortcomings were the presence of visible noise in any light, the lack of detail when shooting with the flash and when shooting with large zoom, the lack of detail and noise when shooting with a wide-angle camera, the jelly effect when recording video while walking, and unstable white balance when shooting indoor video. Ultimately, DxOMark scored 124 points for the iPhone 11 Pro Max for photography and 102 points for video. For comparison, the leader of the overall rating of Huawei Mate 30 Pro has 132/100 points, Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition, which takes the second place – 130/102 points.
