The head of Tesla said that his company intends to build a new electric car factory "in the vicinity of Berlin."
Elon Musk has previously stated that he wants to open a Gigafactory plant on every continent. This week, the entrepreneur, receiving an award in Germany for the victory of the Tesla Model 3 in the nomination “best mid-size sedan,” said that the European Gigafactory plant will be built just on German soil.

To be more precise – Gigafactory 4 will be located near the Berlin airport. In addition, the Tesla Research Center will be established in the German capital.

The new enterprise will primarily be engaged in the production of Tesla Model Y electric crossovers. It will also produce electric power plants and batteries. Gigafactory 4 is expected to begin work by the end of 2021.
