Sony has introduced a new smartphone in the mid-price segment.
The appearance of Xperia 8 resembles the previously presented Xperia 1 and Xperia 5. The device is equipped with a 6-inch IPS-display with a resolution of Full HD + and an aspect ratio of 21: 9. There are no frames or cutouts on the screen, because a rather wide frame is provided on top. There are various sensors and an 8 MP front camera.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset and 4 GB of RAM are responsible for the performance of the smartphone. Built-in storage capacity – 64 GB. There is a slot for microSD memory cards.
The main camera of Xperia 8 consists of two modules: 12 MP and 8 MP. There is a double optical zoom, 4K-video recording with electronic stabilization is supported.
The capacity of the built-in battery is 2760 mAh, fast 18 W charging is supported. The smartphone is protected against moisture and dust according to IPX5 / 8 and IP6X standards. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the display. There are Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The device is running Android 9 Pie.
Sony Xperia 8 will be sold in black, white, blue and red colors. Cost – about $ 505.
