An inexpensive electric car from the French automaker will reach the European market.
Renault in the beginning of September this year presented a serial version of the City K-ZE electric car, which was originally planned to be sold only in China. However, the French decided to reconsider their plans and are about to release City K-ZE in the European market.
It is expected that the car will receive some improvements. In particular, this concerns the power reserve (now it is about 250 km in the NEDC cycle), as well as the safety functions. But the electric motor, most likely, will remain the same – with a capacity of 44 k.s. He is able to accelerate the car to a maximum of 105 km / h.
Despite such modest characteristics, the electric car will definitely find buyers, because the estimated cost of City K-ZE in Europe will be € 11,000 (in China, its price tag does start at ~ € 8,000). It is also likely that the electric car will be released under the Dacia brand in the European market. Olivier Murzi, Renault Vice President of Sales, believes City K-ZE will become popular because it is great for car sharing.
