The Made by Google event marks the debut for the new Pixelbook Chromebook.
The Pixelbook Go boasts a pretty design and two colors: Just Black and Not Pink. I note an interesting solution with the bottom panel – it is corrugated, due to which the device is more convenient to hold in your hands, and rubber strips will not allow the laptop to slide on any surface. What is even more pleasant for users – the weight of the Pixelbook Go is only 900 grams.
The novelty is equipped with a 13.3 ″ LCD touch screen. Resolution can be Full HD or 4K Ultra HD. The 8th generation Intel processors are responsible for the device’s performance: m3, i5 or i7. RAM can be installed 8 GB or 16 GB. Built-in storage capacity is 64/128/256 GB.
Built-in battery capacity is 47 W * h. This should be enough for about 12 hours of battery life. Fast charging via USB-C port is supported (the kit comes with a 45 W charger, which also works with Pixel smartphones).
The Pixelbook Go is also equipped with Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 modules, two USB-C ports (with support for charging and image output), a 3.5 mm audio jack, a backlit keyboard, a light sensor and a magnetic sensor, two speakers and two microphones, 2 MP front-facing camera, Titan C chip, responsible for the security of user data. The device is running Chrome OS.
The cost of the basic modification of the Pixelbook Go (Full HD, Intel Core m3, 8 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM) will be $ 649. The top version with a 4K screen, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM will cost $ 1399.
