Another GoPro product was the Max camera, equipped with two lenses.

GoPro occasionally experiments with 360-degree cameras. In 2015, she introduced a 16-camera setup for shooting on the Google Jump platform, a year later a more compact 6-camera setup called Omni was presented. A year later, GoPro showed the Fusion camera, which was intended for ordinary users. But there were quite a few nuances in it, so she did not gain much popularity.

GoPro Max is a new attempt by the company to release a 360-degree camera. It is waterproof, equipped with two lenses and it is much easier to use than its predecessor.

GoPro positions Max as a 3-in-1 camera, implying that it can record video from each lens individually or from two at once, creating 360-degree videos

The Max camera is not much larger than the Hero 8 Black. Thus, it is more convenient to use and mount on any tripods. By the way, the mount in it is integrated, as in Hero 8 Black. Max records video from both lenses on one microSD card (and not on two, as Fusion does) and glues these videos on its own. In addition, the camera received two touch screens, which are useful for viewing footage and recording vlogs.

Like Hero 8 Black, Max supports digital stabilization of Max HyperSmooth, Max TimeWarp mode, it is also able to record 360-degree audio and automatically correct the horizon.

GoPro Max can record spherical videos in 5.6K resolution at 30 fps, regular 1440p and Full HD videos at 60 fps, slow-motion 240 fps in Full HD resolution, streaming in Full HD resolution is supported. You can take 16.6 megapixels 360-degree photos.

GoPro Max will cost $ 499. The novelty will go on sale on October 24.
