The German automaker has finally revealed the design of one of the most anticipated electric vehicles of the year.
Volkswagen ID.3 is the company's first electric car built on its own MEB platform. In total, three versions of the electric car will be available: basic, medium (go on sale first, hence the name ID.3 1ST) and maximum (Long-Range Variant).
Basic version the electric car will be equipped with batteries with a total capacity of 45 kW * h. According to the WLTP cycle, the ID.3 range is 330 kilometers. The batteries will support AC charging (alternating current) with a power of 7.2 kW and 50 kW DC charging (direct current). 100 kW DC charging will be available optionally (30 minutes of fast charging will add 290 kilometers on the go). The maximum speed will be 160 km / h.
The cost of the basic version of ID.3 will be € 30,000 (~ $ 33,000).
Middle version ID.3 1ST the first to go on sale and will be equipped with a battery capacity of 58 kW * h. This is enough for 420 kilometers. This version will support 11 kW AC charging and 100 kW DC charging.
ID.3 1ST, in turn, will also be available in three versions. Customers who managed to pre-order in May this year will soon be able to contact dealers to fully place an order. ID.3 1ST will cost less than € 40,000. The basic configuration will include a navigation system, DAB + digital radio, heated seats and steering wheel, armrests, Mode 2 charging cable and 18 ″ alloy wheels.
ID.3 1ST Plus will also offer a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and a start-stop system. Designer seats will be installed in the cabin, the center console will receive two USB-C ports and a backlight. I also note the tinted windows, LED matrix lights, turn indicators and 19 ″ alloy wheels.
ID.3 1ST Max adds a projection AR-display, a Beats sound system, a large panoramic roof with the ability to open and darken, 20 ″ alloy wheels, an emergency lane retention system, a lane change system, wireless charging of smartphones and comfortable seats.
Top Version ID.3 will receive a battery with a capacity of 77 kWh, which will provide up to 550 kilometers of travel. It will support 11 kW AC charging and 125 kW DC charging. The cost of this version has not yet been disclosed.
Well, the long-awaited photos of the new ID.3, which the company tried to mask to the last.
And here is the ID.3 interior. Volkswagen notes that inside the electric car, Open Space was created: there is no central tunnel, the dash is more compact, so there is a lot of space in the car, as for this class. Trunk volume is 385 liters.
