Android (Go edition) was introduced last year and was based on Android 9 Pie. This version of the OS is installed on devices equipped with less than 1.5 GB of RAM. Now released Android (Go edition), which is based on Android 10.
According to Google, applications run 10% faster in Android 10 (Go edition) than in Pie. In addition, engineers worked on the overall speed and reliability of the system, which also became more secure. In particular, Android 10 (Go edition) uses Adiantum, an encryption form designed for low-power devices.
The first devices preloaded with Android 10 (Go edition) will be released this fall.
