The novelty received a slightly larger display, but the price tag remained at the same affordable level.
The 7th generation iPad is now equipped with a 10.2 ″ Retina display (2160 × 1620 pixels). The screen has become brighter (500 nits) compared to its predecessor, and also offers wider viewing angles. Inside the tablet, the A10 chipset and 32 GB or 128 GB of internal memory are installed.
The new iPad has received first-generation Apple Pencil support, and is equipped with a Smart Connector for connecting an external keyboard. Now you can connect external drives via the Lightning port.
The main camera is 8 MP (f / 2.4, HDR, Live Photos, AF), the front camera is 1.2 MP (f / 2.2, Live Photos).
Among other characteristics, I note the presence of stereo speakers, a 3.5-mm audio jack, the Home button with Touch ID, Wi-Fi 5 and LTE modules (optional). The tablet case is made of 100% recycled aluminum. The built-in battery should last for 10 hours (9 hours for the LTE version). The device is running iPadOS.
The cost of the 7th generation iPad starts at $ 329. Educational institutions can purchase tablets for $ 299.
