Switching to street view has become easier.
Previously, to switch to Street View mode, it was necessary to tap on the map in the place of interest and click on the icon in the lower left corner (appears if the mode is available in this place). Now in the list of layers there is an opportunity to choose Street View. By activating it, the map highlights all the places available for viewing. Next, just tap on the desired point.
The innovation, by the way, allows you to find the “hidden” Street View routes. For example, in the Bay Area (San Francisco) there are photos taken from a ferry.
The new feature works in Google Maps version 10.23.3 on Android smartphones.
