Drunk shoppers spend an average of about $ 400 a year per person – all for shopping. Currently, this gives a turnover of about $ 48 billion a year. The biggest beneficiary of the whole situation is, among others, American Amazon.
The research conducted by The Hustle revealed that users who sit down to a computer or smartphone drunk are quite common – 2,000 respondents took part in the survey conducted by the described portal, thus revealing some interesting curiosities about the whole practice.
Out of exactly 2,174 survey participants, 79 percent of them said they had made at least one online purchase while being drunk. Ryan Green, who watched the Super Bowl drunk, bought two tickets for Justine Timberlake’s concert, and in the morning he could not remember where his confirmation came from. The survey reveals that Americans spend around $ 444 a year on alcohol-related shopping. Considering that there are about 138 million people drinking alcohol in the US, the bill is obvious – it’s an e-commerce market worth almost 50 billion dollars a year. So where do all the money go?

The report reveals that Amazon not only wins the best shopping interface in the indicating state, but also has a transparent mobile application with which you can quickly make purchases. Drunk clients spend most on clothes and things related to fashion. Later, they buy movies, games, electronics and food, among others.
